Welcome to the 2020-21 school year!! My name is Kelly Wallis and this is my 8th year teaching at Ola Middle School! I may be a little bit partial, but I am convinced this is the best school in the county. We have such an amazing staff and group of students who show our ESE students so much love.
Although the school year is not starting in the traditional way, we will make the very best of it until we can meet in person. I am so grateful we live in a time where we can meet and learn remotely while keeping everyone healthy during Covid-19.
A little bit about me:
My husband of 29 years supported me tremendously as I went back to college in 2009 to fulfill my dream of becoming a special education teacher. We both grew up in Henry County where we met in high school and married after college. We have a 23 year old daughter who is the light of our life. Besides teaching, some of my favorite things are animals (we have four dogs), gardening, painting, and spending time with my family and friends.
Before I started teaching, I volunteered in the ESE classroom throughout the county for ten years. I am surprised how quickly becoming a teacher has defined who I am as a person.
I am looking forward to sharing an exciting and rewarding year with each of you. Please do not hestitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
