DMS 2022-23 Teacher of the Year! 

I graduated with my B.A. in Middle Grades Education from Clayton State University in 2010. My areas of concentration were Social Science and Language Arts. I have since added certifications in Early Childhood, Middle Grades Reading, Science, and Mathematics, and have my Gifted endorsement. This is my 10th year teaching, and my 1st year teaching 8th grade Social Studies. 

I absolutely love learning about history and reading and I hope to be able to instill and cultivate this passion in my students. When I am not at school, I spend my time with my husband and 3 kids. I love to curl up with a cup of coffee and watch movies or read a good book.
