School Cancellation/Offices Closed - Monday (9/11) & Tuesday (9/12)

Good afternoon Henry County Schools Community,
Henry County Schools and all offices will be closed Monday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 12 due to the expected severe weather from Hurricane Irma. After discussions and meetings with our valued weather professionals and emergency management partners in the county, the impact on Henry County is projected to be significant with heavy rain, strong winds, and an increased chance of tornadoes. We don’t want to put any of our students or staff at risk during this uncommon weather event.
Should anything change between now and the start of the school on either day to present a more favorable weather forecast and allow for school to take place, we will communicate these changes to you through our normal communication channels. Always check our website first, followed by emails and phone calls through our Infinite Campus and Campus Messenger system, social media, and the local news media.
Thank you for your patience as we work to make the most informed, practical, and sound decisions for the safety of our 42,000 plus students, 5,000 plus employees, and their families.
