  • Thur. Feb 13th at 5:30p.m. - Dangers of Vaping

    This informative session will provide parents and students an opportunity to learn more about identifying vaping products, how dangerous and harmful they are, and how to protect students from this national epidemic. Parents will also learn techniques that may be useful when talking to children about the dangers of vaping.

  • Book Fair Begins!

    Our Book Fair begins Feb.6-14, 2020. Parents, please sign up to volunteer on the provided SIGN-UP GENIUS link for this annual and great event to support our readers! On Febryary 13th and 14th, the Book Fair will be open during BREAKFAST WITH A LOVED ONE which will begin at 7:00a.m. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you!

  • Community Town Hall Meetings 2020

    The Henry County Board of Education will be hosting a series of meetings over the next few weeks to afford all stakeholders in the district the opportunity to participate and lend their voice to the strategic planning process. Five meetings are currently planned to give everyone multiple opportunities to make it to the location/date most convenient for them. Your voice is vital to this long-range planning effort to ensure the course for Henry County Schools is sound and continues to support student learning and achievement at the highest levels. We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming meetings!

  • Welcome Back!

    Happy New Year to our Rock Spring Elementary community and families! We look forward to 2020 and anticipate more learning, growth, and success! Teacher workdays and professional development take place on Monday, January 6 and Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Students return to school on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Please remember our school hours and procedures. For car riders and walkers, we open the doors at 7:15 a.m. and students are expected to be in class by 7:45 a.m. when the second bell rings. Students are marked tardy after 7:45a.m. Please do not drop off students before 7:15 a.m. and walk students into the front office for check-in after 7:45 a.m. We look forward to greeting everyone as we return to our second semester at Rock Spring Elementary!

  • Veteran's Day Program

    Come and join us this evening, November 14, 2019 at 6:30p.m. to HONOR and THANK our heroes for serving and protecting us each day! Rock Spring Elementary would like to say thank you to our veteran's.     Join our Family Connection Workshops on November 14, 2019 at 6-7:30p.m. Promoting Wellness in families and students with tools to deal with challenging behaviors and having a path to wellness through suicude prevention will be the focus for these workshops. RSVP here

    Rock Spring Elementary is proud to share our great news of an increase in our CCRPI score! With a 24 point increase we are so thankful for our faculty, staff, parents, and volunteers who worked so hard to help our students ignite a passion for learning! Our ulitmate goal is to Reach Each Student Every Day To Exceed Standards.   • Red Ribbon Week

    This week begins Red Ribbon Week in which students learn to stay drug-free and bully-free! Please see our list of activites! We will conclude our week with a Drug-Free and Bully-Free parade on Friday, October 31 at 1:30p.m. in the Bus Loop. To ensure safety, parents and visitors must park in the front parking lot and check in the front office by 1:15p.m. to view and encourage students in the Bus Loop. Thank you for your support and participation!

  • Teacher of the Year

    Rock Spring Elementary was proud to attend and support our Teacher of the Year for our 2019 school year, Mrs. Antonette Armstrong! Along with many other dedicated teachers in our school district, Mrs. Armstrong was honored on Thursday, Oct. 24th at the Henry County Perfroming Arts Center and it was an event to remember!

    Come join for our Annual Fall Festival - Friday, October 18, 2019 from 6:30-9:00p.m. Get ready for an exciting evening of fun and games. Who will you dunk at the Dunk Tank?! Everyone gets to enjoy Inflatables, the Cake Walk, the Rock Wall, the Wrecking Ball, games, and much more! We look forward to seing you Friday night!

  • Hispanic Heritage Month

    We want to thank our bilingual community liason, Mrs. Zulma Nino and our fabulous paraprofessional Mrs. Melendez for serviing as our special guests during a reading of Apple Farmer Annie in the Media Center this past week. Our students truly enjoyed this bilingual literacy experience during our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
