Welcome to Audio/ Video Technology and Film. We are in the CTAE (Career, Technical, Agricultural Education) department. My goal is to introduce and prepare students for exciting and lucrative careers in video production, broadcasting, film production, and post-production.
Video is fast becoming the standard for communication. Learn how to make good video pieces, tell compelling stories, and add the fun effects in these classes.
AVTF III is the end of the pathway and allows for a pathway completion exam for television production. This exam is accepted by many Georgia colleges as credit for Mass Communication or Intro to Broadcasting. This allows you to move on to the next class, or secure a college elective credit at no cost to you.
Audio/Video class should be one that combines learning with fun activities, a chance to be creative, and opportunities to learn industry-standard, sophisticated technology. We are hands-on and depend on project-based learning. Attendance is the #1 key to success quickly followed by class participation. This class brings out the 21st-century skills employers want: collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking. Students should be prepared to practice these skills and bring their best effort.
