  •  *********Accelerated Reader can be accessed through the Henry County Schools webpage (https://schoolwires.henry.k12.ga.us/) . Students will then click on the student option at the top (the same way they do to access Odysseyware) and then click on the ClassLink option. Students will put in their login information (same as Odysseyware) and then Accelerated Reader should pop up as one of the option.

    *********Odysseyware-Please try to have your child complete 1 lesson a day in Reading, Math, and Language Arts.

    This Week’s Focus:

    Reading: I can describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges.

    I can describe the overall structure of a story.

    I can ask and answer questions to determine understanding of a text.

    Phonics: I can read and spell words with the /aw/ sound.

    I can decode words with common prefixes and suffixes.

    Math: I can determine whether a group of objects has an odd or even number of members.

    I can use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns.

    Science: I can ask and answer questions about the life cycles of different animals.

     

     

                                     2nd Grade: Week 4 Remote Learning Plan

    Students will log in to ClassLink which can be found under the student tab on the Mt. Carmel webpage.

    Your students login information for ClassLink is the same information they use to log into AR while at school. If they have forgotten..Username is their 6 digit lunch number. The password is their first and last intial, 6 digit birthdate followed by the # symbol. There are NO spaces in the password.

    They will look for the following apps depending upon what they are doing.

     This app is for the Phonics Resources.

     This app is for Google Classroom. When logging into the classroom make sure that your child clicks on either Language Arts or Social Studies depending on the subject being done. Once in the classroom have your child look for the classwork tab at the top. This is where the work will be listed for each day.

     This app is for what we call Ed head. This is where students will go for Math assignments.
