Pleasant Grove elementary schools S.W.A.G Step Team is a program designed to create a connection to the school through participation in a step team.  S.W.A.G is an acronym for students with a goal. The overall goal of the program is to create an atmosphere of acceptance and appreciation for diversity.  The objectives are for each student to achieve satisfactory academic standing, improve self-esteem, and gain a sense of belonging to their school and community.

The Step Team is an additional extra-curricular activity for students.  The team performs a unique dance art form that originated in Africa.  Stepping is a form of percussive dance in which the mixture of footsteps, spoken works, and hand claps.  This dance form has become more popular over that past 15 years with children and adolescents.
