Welcome to my webpage. This will be my 6th year at Locust Grove High School. I am the Work Based Learning teacher. I taught previously at Union Grove High School.
I started teaching in 2002 at Union Grove High School in McDonough. I taught there for twelve years before joining Locust Grove HS. This is my 18th year in education. While at UGHS, I coached numerous sports including fastpitch softball, baseball, and football. In softball, I was the head coach of the 2012 AAAAA State Champion Fastpitch Softball team. I was also the 2012 AAAAA GA Dugout Club State softball coach of the year. I coached baseball for 11 yrs while there.
At LGHS, I have coached just baseball. Our Wildcats have a rich tradition of making it far in the playoffs and in 2016 we were the AAAA State Champions. That's my 2nd ring! I also enjoy working with the basketball and football teams being the scoreboard operator, spotter, and announcer.
In my own time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching sports. I am an avid fan for the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. I play a little golf and enjoy doing Crossfit at Crossfit Pulse in McDonough. My wife, Eve, is also a teacher. She works at East Lake Elementary where she teaches 2nd grade. My wife is very talented and a very good teacher!
I have two daughters whom I am very proud of. My oldest daughter also is a teacher at East Lake Elementary. This is her 5th year teaching! She graduated from the University of West Georgia just like her parents. I am so proud of her because she teaches so many young children every day! Her husband works for ADT.
My youngest daughter lives in Florida and works for Disney World. She touches hundreds of people every day and uses her bubbly personality to show the love of Disney. I am so proud of her for being so bold and striving to work for a company that she loves.
I am an active member of the First Baptist Church of McDonough where I serve as a Deacon there.
