• Welcome back from Spring Break.

We are in the home stretch of the 2020-21 school and what a year it has been.

The GMAS- Georgia Milestones will be starting shortly.

Students should be using time after school to review in preparation for testing.

It is important that students stay focused, log in on time, turn on cameras, and complete the required assignments.

Please continue to work on your multiplication facts. There are a wealth of resources on my google classroom.

The primary sights that I use for assignments are  Quizizz.com,    Readworks.org,    and  Seesaw.com.

Thank you for all you do!

    Stay Safe!

Ms. Karen Sinclair

We are living in unchartered times as you all are aware. We will be starting the 2020-21 school year off virtually, August 17, 2020.  Every year always brings out the excitement of first-day jitters and this year won't be any different. I can't wait to see the smiling faces of my students, virtually for now, and hear how they reconnect with their peers and me. We will be working hard to make gains and progress towards meeting expected goals. We will learn all of our multiplication facts fluently with ease which will help to develop the strategies that are needed for multi-digit multiplication, long division, fractions, exponents, etc. In Reading. We will increase our reading levels by improving our critical thinking skills: observation, analysis, interpretation, analysis, interpretation, reflection, evaluation, problem-solving, and decision making. The two key terms this year are INTENTIONAL and RIGOR. We will be very intentional and clear in the expectations that we have for our students. Through practice and hard work, we will be successful. This year, my schedule will focus mainly on grades 3-5 small groups and collaborative teaching/learning in English Language Arts and Math.

This is my 30th year of teaching and I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding experience working with the students and parents here at Red Oak Elementary School. This is my fifth year as a Monarch, my eighth year as an Exceptional Student Educator, and my 15th year in Henry County Schools.
