    All shirts must have collars.


    Undershirts should not be visible (through the top layer shirt, under the bottom or at the neck).  Turtlenecks/Sweaters may be worn underneath the collared shirt in one of the approved colors listed above.

    Pants/shorts/skirts should not be form-fitting.

     All male students are required to wear belts or pants with elastic waistbands at all times.



     NO multi-colored belts or suspenders are permitted.

     Pants cannot be tucked into socks.



    NO flip flops, slides or bedroom slippers are permitted.

    Jackets must be worn unzipped while inside the school building.


    Students wearing “hooded” jackets will not be permitted to wear the hooded jacket while in the         building. They must be placed in lockers upon arrival to school.


    Large jackets/Coats should be stored in locker upon arrival to school.

  • The following actions will be taken when students fail to report to school in the appropriate uniform dress.

    1.  Student will report fo main office,

    2.  Student will be allowed to call home for parent assistance to meet uniform compliance.  Student will report to ISS and will be allowed to return to their class schedule upon meeting compliance.

    1st offense:

    1.  Student will receive a parent reminder letter of the uniform dress code

    2.  Administrative conference with parent and student.

    2 or more offenses:

    Disciplinary actions will be taken as outlined in the HCS Student and Parent handbook.


    *Uniform compliance is a part of the ELMS Positive Behavior Incentive Program.
