• I am extremely excited about the opportunity to work with our new 6th grade OMS students as well as my returning students.  As a self contained ID-2 teacher, I have the pleasure of working with students who give it their all, every single day. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  I began my teaching journey at Cotton Indian Elementary as a para-professional.  I worked full time as a para-pro and went to school at night to obtain my teaching degree.  I received my degree at Mercer University. I later recieved many add on certificates from Georgia State University. 
• When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing tennis and have been playing since high school. I graduated high school in 1985 and also married my husband (of 34 years) that same year. We have 3 grown children and 3 precious grandbabies.  If I'm not at school or on the tennis courts, you can find me spending all my time with my grands! 
• It's been said that if you find a job you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life.  I think this statement was made for me!! I love my job and I truly believe it is my calling. Our school year may not start out as many of us had hoped for, but we're going to make it a great year filled with lots of learning and fun!
