1st Grade - Wells, Wendy

    We are going to have a fabulous year at Woodland Elementary!  I am delighted to be your child’s teacher.  I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child during the upcoming school year.

    I am originally from Buffalo, New York.  I moved to Georgia in 1995 with my husband.  Georgia is much warmer, so we have made it our home.  I have two children and was blessed to be  a stay at home Mom. When my youngest child went to school in 2005, I began woking as a paraprofessional for kidergarten.  I had found my passion!  It had always been my dream to become a teacher, so I began working towards my teaching degree while working in the school, and raising my family.  I graduated from Mercer University in May of 2011 and began working as a first grade teacher that fall.  I have taught first grade all but one year when I taught fourth grade. 

     It is my hope that your child will love to come to school every day and that this year will create wonderful memories of learning for your child.  Please know that your participation throughout the school year is desired, and you are always welcome to visit our classroom as a volunteer.  I believe that your child will experience great success in school if we work together as a team.
