    Overview

Hello and welcome to Mr. Osborn's homepage.  I hope that this site will be a useful tool for both parents and students for the upcoming school year. If you want to look up important dates or find digital copies of assignments you may find them here.  I have also added some useful links for students if you want to build up your vocabulary, practice for the English EOCT, or find information on texts we are reading in class.  Not every assignment completed in class will be posted to this website (it is pretty much impossible because many assignments do not have digital copies and presentations must be completed in class).  Still, this website will prove useful to many of you and I encourage suggestions to improve it.

A little bit about me... I have lived in Decatur, GA the majority of my life and graduated from Emory University in 2010 with High Honors in English. In 2011 I received my Masters in English Education from Kennesaw State.  I have taught at Kell High School, Campbell Middle, Dutchtown High School, and Stockbridge High School.  My area of focus is British and American Literature, but I have a strong background in contemporary literature and mythology as well.  If you need to get in contact with me for whatever reason I can be reached at the email or number at the bottom of the page.  I am typically quick with emails, but I appreciate your patience getting back to you during the day.  Also, (for parents) if your child is not performing at the level you expect of them please contact me as soon as possible so that we can work on strategies to improve his or her performance early as opposed to later in the semester.  I will do my best to let you know if your student has been missing work or needs improvement in certain areas, but as soon as we get in touch the better.  I am looking forward to this next year and I hope we work together to make it a great one!
