    Subjects I Teach: 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade ELA Interrelated/Resource Teacher
Welcome to Stockbridge Middle School. I am so pleased to have the opportunity to teach your child(ren), and I am excited about the new adventures we will embark on this school year. I would like to give you a little background information about myself. I have three children. My oldest is a certified phlebotomist and currently finishing up her collegiate career to go into dental hygiene, my son recently graduated from high school and is pursuing a career in the trucking industry, and my youngest is in the 7th grade. I graduated from Mercer University in December 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Special Education, completed my Master's at Capella University in Special Education with a specialization in Learning Disabilities December 2016, and I recently obtained my specialist degree from Mercer University in Teacher Leadership. I hold certifications for teaching exceptional students in K-12th and ESOL students. I previously worked half a school year as an Interrelated teacher for Kindergarten and third-grade students before finding my way to Stockbridge Elementary. I was the Emotional Behavior self-contained classroom teacher (K-3) and co-teacher for 1st-3rd grade students. I now co-teach ELA for 6th-8th grade students. Even as a child, teaching others was something I always loved doing. Although I started out in corporate America, I found my way to the most promising career I could ever have in life.....TEACHING!
