Mrs. Turpin

Hello and welcome to LGMS 2022-2023 Cheerleading Page

I am Coach Turpin and I will be the new head coach for LGMS Cheer. I am beyond excited about getting this season started. I have several years of experience as both an athlete and a coach. A little background on me. I cheered for two years at Henry County Middle. Then went on to cheer at Ola High school. Then I continued my cheering career on a partial scholarship to Georgia State University, where I was a member of the first ever football cheerleading team in 2010. I also participated in the basketball cheerleading team and on the competitive team. I went on to compete at the Collegiate National Championships twice as a Panther. I then transferred to Kennesaw State University and joined the Competitive Cheer Program. I went on to compete at Nationals four times as an owl. I returned to KSU in 2016 to assistant coach the first ever football cheerleading team.

In addition to my experience as an athlete, I also worked for the Universal Cheerleading Association under Varsity for 6 years. I worked as a lead staffer instructing athletes throughout the southeast.

Overall, I have an abundance of knowledge and experience I can't wait to share with your young athletes.

Lets Go Wildcats!!!!
