    My name is John Schettling and I am an inaugural member of Woodland Elementary.
    This is my 17th year teaching at Woodland Elementary, my second year in 5th grade!
     
    I was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Metro Detroit. I moved down to Georgia in 2006 to teach and have been loving that ever since. I was married on Septmeber 13, 2008.
     
    In February of 2013 my wife and I welcomed twin girls to our family. They will be attending Woodland this year. We also welcomed a new baby in 2019.
