    Welcome Message

    Welcome to the wonderful world of healthcare science! My name is Alfreda Lewis and this is my eleventh year teaching at Stockbridge High School. Before teaching, I worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for fifteen years.
    The healthcare program is designed to spark interest and prepare students for the amazing opportunity to work in the healthcare industry. This pathway is perfect for anyone that has a desire to serve others and the community. Again, welcome and let's have an exciting year!
     
    Be a part of  SHS HOSA (Future Health Professionals), a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. The membership fee is $35, but look at what you get in return: affiliation to the state and national chapter, scholarships (must apply), opportunities to network with other students who are interested in healthcare, travel, enhancement of your leadership skills, fun, volunteer experience, and a T-Shirt. Meeting dates and times will be announced.
