Greetings Dutchtown High Parents and Community,
Welcome to the 2019- 2020 academic year!
I am honored and delighted to introduce myself as Principal of Dutchtown High School. In my 24 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work in industry as a Programmer, then transitioned into education as a Computer Science Teacher at the technical and high school levels. I have over 14 years of school leadership experience having served as a TITLE I Coordinator, School Improvement Turnaround Specialist, Academy Leader, Aspiring Leaders Mentor, Curriculum and Instruction Assistant Principal and Principal.
It is a privilege to lead this learning community during a time of change and tremendous possibilities. I believe the foundation of our future accomplishments is to continue to provide our students with academic experiences that are rigorous, relevant and build lasting relationships. I am excited to work with our dedicated and creative faculty members as well as collaborating with members of our school and business communities. Dutchtown is a bustling community of learners who on a daily basis participate in a multitude of opportunities.
I am looking forward to a long list of first as your new principal- the first day of school, the first SGA meeting, the first theater production, the first robotics competition, the first football game of the year and many, many more first. I want to share and celebrate your experiences and support you in my role as school leader. As I begin my first year as Principal of Dutchtown High School, I would like to thank Assistant Superintendent Nicole Shaw for her committed and dedicated work in developing greatness. I look forward to building on her efforts. I consider it not only a privilege to serve, but also my responsibility to lead. I look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you this coming year. “I am thankful for the opportunity be a part of Henry County Schools! I'm excited to join my team at Dutchtown High School to support the work of making a difference in the lives of students by helping them prepare for life, college, career and the world”.
Proud to be a BULLDOG!
