    My name is Christi Buce.  I have been married to my husband, Alan, for 35 years!  We have one son, Josh, who is the light of our lives.  Josh graduated from UGA eleven years ago– go dawgs!!!  He is living in San Antonio, Texas, and he works for a publishing company. We attend St. James the Apostle Catholic Church; my faith is very important to me, and my favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9.  
     
         My favorite thing to do is READ; I absolutely adore it!  I also enjoy spending time with my family.  I have two sisters and one brother; I also have three nieces, two nephews, and one great-nephew.  My dad lives in McDonough, so we all get together for fabulously fun times quite often!J

    This is my 30th year in education.  I taught fifth grade for several years before moving to fourth grade.  Last year, I decided to take a leap of faith and move to second grade.  This year, I'm working in two different classrooms: one first grade and one second grade. I'm looking forward to a sensational year!  I graduated from Georgia Southern University and completed my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction ten years ago.  I have also completed my TAG (talented and gifted) certification.  

     
          I love my job, and I truly believe that learning is a life-long process.  I learn a lot from my students every year!  It is also my belief that every student has great potential for achieving enormous success; I encourage my students to learn and flourish in a safe and supportive environment. I will do my best to make sure each student develops academically, socially, and emotionally.  Each child is unique and will be treated as an individual.  I accept these responsibilities with great commitment, dedication, and joy.J
