Welcome To First Grade,

     My name is Laurie Bachelor and I am entering my 27th year of teaching.   This is my 13th year at CIE.    I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State College in 1992 and my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of West Georgia in 1999.  During my years of teaching  I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and EIP.  Out of those First Grade is my first love.

      I have been married for 25 years to the sweetest man I know, Elliott.   Elliott works at Piedmont Henry Hospital as the Lead MRI Technician.  We have three chlidren.  Mason is 21 and is beginning his senior year at the University of Georgia. GO DAWGS!!!    Logan is 18 and will be a attending the University of North GA in Dahlonaga.  Mackenzie is 14 and will be in 9th grade at Union Grove High School.  We have quite the zoo at our house....a dog named Chesney, two outside cats  named Ollie and Mollie, and an indoor cat named Lizzie Mae.

     We are members of Salem Baptist Church and are very involved in all aspects of ministry there.   We love to travel and have been all over the U.S. with our kids but our very favorite place is the beach.
