    Welcome to my web page.
I have been a registered nurse since I was 21 years old.  I am a graduate of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University. I have a background in catastrophic rehabilitation, life care planning, psychiatry, and medical nursing.  This is my tenth year teaching, all at Woodland High School.  I enjoy teenagers, love what I teach and have great students.  I have two amazing sons, Cory and Garrett, a beautiful daughter in law, Jenn and two grandchildren.  My son, Cory, is a firefighter/paramedic and Jenn is a pediatric/cardiac sedation nurse. Garrett is a working college student.  I look forward to an exciting year!
MAKE UP/RETAKE TESTS AND QUIZZES:  All tests and quizzes failed may be retaken for full credit.  I am at school in the mornings at 7:45.  If on the rare chance I have a parent conference I will still allow you to make up the test if you start before I have to leave the room.  i am not available mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday due to hall duty.  I am at the school in the afternoons until 3:45 most afternoons except when my third year students have clinical.  Last day for makeups and retakes is October October 1 for first nine weeks and December 6 for second nine weeks of frist semester... No late work after those dates.  Makeup and retakes must be taken before or after school not during regular class time.  Please note late work and make ups or re-takes may take up to two weeks to appear in the grade book.
Tutoring or other extra help is available daily from 7:45 to 8:10 am unless i have a parent conference or a mandatory meeting.
Third year students - All paperwork and shot records etc that are required are due in by August 15th  or you will be dropped from the course.  FLU SHOT will be due 30 days after you are notified of it's release.  Flu shot is due October 1st.  PLEASE refer to the Handbook that you were given in May regarding requirements, medical records, and tests required.  This has also been posted on Google Classroom.
The seven weeks of Independent Clinical will be from October 1 Through November 14, 2019 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week.
