    About Mrs. Pace

    Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to fifth grade!  I am anxious to begin a new and exciting year. Fifth grade is a crucial year and your fifth grader will be engaged in many challenging learning experiences in order to prepare for middle school. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and expect them to put forth their best effort. I am also looking forward to working with you. Together we can help your child achieve goals that will help him/her throughout school and beyond!

I would like to share a little about myself. This year begins my 15th year at LGES. I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia in 1995 and my masters degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in 2006. I will be serving on the Leadership and Math Focus teams this year.

I have three children who are 22, 19, and 18 so needless to say it's busy at the Pace household all the time.  My son graduated from UGA last May, my oldest daughter will begin her second year at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia, and my youngest daughter is a senior at Locust Grove High School. My husband and I have been married for 24 years and he is my right arm! He is the middle and high school youth director at Locust Grove United Methodist Church and a sponsor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Locust Grove High School.  We both enjoy SEC football (GO DAWGS!!!!), softball, Braves baseball, fitness and exercise, relaxing at the beach, just plain relaxing, reading, being with family and taking care of our two dogs, Sophie, Chloe, Scout and Maggie, and three cats, Snickers, Little Kitty, and Itty-Bitty Kitty.
I'm excited about getting to know all of you and look forward to a wonderful and successful year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason.
