    Educational Philosphy

I believe all students can learn. I believe all students should be able to have their educational goals met each day that learning is occuring. They should have the basic foundational skills that will equip them as they chose their career path for life. Finally, I want all students to be productive individuals that can think, learn, and be creative in thier style of learning.

    Hi!
Welcome to the Fabulous Smiling Faces of Hampton Elementary! My name is Carol Craven-Olthoff. I am so happy to be teaching and helping your child this year.
I had the honor of being named Teacher of the Year for 2008 by the Hampton staff members. It was a privilege and wonderful opportunity bestowed from my fellow colleagues.
I have been educating students for 38 year. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. I taught my first five years in a private church school, then moved  into public education. I have taught 10 years in Clayton County and 23 years in Henry County.
I am a true GA peach. Born in Atlanta GA. I lived in Hapeville, Georgia, until I moved to  Henry County about 23 years ago. I love Hampton as a community and Hampton Elementary is a great place. I am excited to be always be a Hampton Honnet.
I have high expectations for my students. I expect respect and responsibility from them at all times. I am constantly looking for new ways to inspire and motive them to achieve their best.
I got married on June 6, 2009 with a beach wedding in Florida. My children are the students I educate, motivate, and encouage each year.
We are going to have a great year at Hampton. So remember to smile and laugh when you can.
