Hello Families and Welcome to the HES Parent and Family Engagement webpage. My name is Kim Lunn, and I am excited to be jumping into the position of PIP (on a part-time basis) for Hampton Elementary. Many of you know me from my time in the Front Office and now as the Registrar/Student Data Specialist. However, what you may not know is that before coming to Hampton Elementary, I was the PIP at Locust Grove Elementary for 10 years. I absolutely LOVE all things involving Title I Parent, Family and Community Engagement. I'm so excited to assist and encourage you with your child's learning experience. So here's a little background info on me. I'm originally from Pennsylvania (GO STEELERS!), but have been in Henry County since 1993. I have my degree in Business Administration, but put that on the back burner when I became a Mom. I have three amazing boys who are my heart and soul. They all came through Henry County Schools and are the reason I'm working in education. It started with volunteering as a Room Mom, then PTO and well the rest is history! Since 2004 I have been employed with Henry County Schools. Now, let's talk about our Parent and Family Resource Center. The FRC offers free educational resources for you to take home to support your child's learning at home. Our lending library includes books, games, manipulatives an more. We also have laptops available by appointment and parenting books to help guide you through the wonderful world of parenting. The FRC (Family Resource Center) is open by appointment from 7:15-3:15pm. However, Due to the current HCS Covid19 safety protocols, resources will only be available to pick up in the car line or front office. You can view our available resources on our Virtual Parent & Family Resource Site.
Contact me if you questions about our school, need help with educational resources for you child or other district or community resources...I'm here for YOU!
