Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. M. Riley

I am Ms. Riley, your science teacher this year. I know this year will begin differently than any school year in the past, but together, we can make this an enjoyable experience. I have been a teacher for 22 years. During that time I have taught biology, environmental science, chemistry, physical science, anatomy and physiology, and STS.

I began my teaching career at Stockbridge High School. After nine years, I transfered to Henry County High School (now McDonough High School). During my time at Henry County High School, I was honored to receive the designation as the 2014 Teacher of the Year at Henry County High School.

I have earned several degrees. I received my Bachelor's in Science (Pre-Med) from West Georgia College. I went on to receive my Master's degree in Administration from the University of Phoenix. Shortly after, I earned my Specialist and Doctorate in Teacher Leadership (ABD) from Walden University. I also hold a state endorsement as an SST Coordinator.

I have two children who I am extremely proud of. My oldest daughter will be a freshman in college this year and my youngest will be a high school senior. I also have a vey demanding Cheweenie named Oreo.

I look forward to working with my students and their parents this school year. Together, we will navigate through these uncertain times and BE BETTER TOGETHER. If at any time you need to reach out to me for whatever reason, please do so. I am here for you academically and emotionally.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at mriley@henry.k12.ga.us.
