Henry County WarHawks Announce 2018-19Final Farewell TourBasketball ScheduleHenry County High School released its final varsity basketball schedule today as the 'Henry County WarHawks'. In 2019 the WarHawks will move into their new facilities located on the corner of Post Master Rd. and Hwy. 155, where they will become the McDonough WarHawks.Henry County Athletic Director and head girls basketball coach Greg Shook said, "It's a great time for us here at Henry County High School yet, we feel sorrowed that such a rich traditions is losing the marquee name of Henry County High School". Shook added, "We want everyone to know that we are not leaving behind the history of Henry County High School - just putting a new name on the outside walls." Henry County High School was established in 1954 as it formally was known as McDonough High School. This year's basketball schedule reflects the success of both boys and girls basketball teams as they continue to play some of the top teams in the State of Georgia. Last year the Lady WarHawks finished the season as the number two team in AAAA basketball after being defeated in the State Championship game by Spalding High School. The boys program showed a strong year by competing the the State AAAA tournament after losing four starters from the 2017 State Final Four Team.Warhawk Nation!
