• BASKETBALL CONDITIONING WILL START SEPTEMBER 8th AND END OCTOBER 21ST, AT WOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUS RAMP.   THE TIME WILL BE FROM 4 PM - 6 PM, MONDAY - THURSDAY.   DO NOT GO TO THE HIGH SCHOOL.  BRING YOUR OWN WATER CONTAINER TO CONDITIONING.  THERE WILL BE NO SHARING WATER CONTAINERS!!
     
     In order to prepare for off season workouts, I will need the following information from you as soon as possible.
    1) Will you be able to attend workouts everyday, Monday-Thursday?  If not, what days can you not attend?
    2) You must have a current physical on file.  NO PHYSICAL, NO PARTICIPATION!!!!
    3) Complete the 20-21 Athletci Forms asap.  Whether you attend workouts or not, if you plan to participate in any sport(s) this school year, this must be on file before you can participate.  See link on the side for the Athletic packet.  Understand that if the packet is not completed, then you will not be allowed to participate.  
     
    Understand that conditioning is voluntary and that you are not required to attend.  However, if you do participate, we will be following the guidelines of GHSA, Henry Co., and Woodland High School.    If you are playing with football or running cross country, there is no need to come to conditioning.  So, please let me know through remind or email if you will be able to attend.  My email address is qking@henry.k12.ga.us and you can sign up for Remind.  The Remind code is @g2da2e.  If you have any question, please let me know.  Also, you need to bring your own water jug to conditioning.  
     
    The following questions will be asked of you daily, so you will need to know the answer to each:
    1) Do you or have you had a fever in the last week? 
    2) Have you had any respiratory or flu-like symptoms in the last week (coughing, vomiting, sore throat, nausea, shaking with chills, and/or loss of smell)? 
    3) Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19? 
    4) Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19? 
    5) Have you traveled to a “hot spot” for COVID-19? 
     
     
    BASKETBALL TRYOUTS WILL START OCTOBER 26TH - 27TH FOR ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT THIS SEASON.  9TH GRADE TRYOUTS WILL BE FROM 3:30 - 5 PM, AND JVB/VB TRYOUTS WILL BE FROM 7 - 8:30 PM.  WE WILL MAKE THE FINAL CUT AFTER THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS HAVE HAD THERE 2 DAYS OF TRYOUTS.  IF YOU DO NOT PLAY FOOTBALL, YOU CAN NOT TRYOUT WITH THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
      
    REMIND CODE: @g2da2e.  This is how I will communicate with you as far as any cancellations of practices or games, and other information pertaining to the program.  If you do not have a cell phone, add your parents cell phone, so that you don't miss any information.
     
       
     *** PLEASE BE ON TIME PICKING UP YOUR SON.  THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HANG AROUND THE SCHOOL ONCE PRACTICES AND GAMES ARE OVER WITH!!!  THE COACHING STAFF WOULD LIKE TO GET HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES!!!!
     
    *** The player fees for 2020-2021 is $290 for Varsity/JV teams and $250 for 9th grade team.  If your son played a fall sport, then your fee will be reduced by $40.00
    • HUDL Video $40.00 (Varsity and JV Only)
    • Athletic Fee - $40.00 (County Fee, paid once for all sports.  If you have paid this amount already, deduct the amount from the player fees.)
    • Apparel - $210.00 (includes Warm-up, shooting shirt, shoes, etc.)
    • Total - $290.00 (if you did not play a fall sport)

     *** PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PAY THE PLAYER FEES, SO THAT WE CAN START ORDERING APPAREL.
