As this school year comes to an end, I would like to share some
thoughts with you...... it's not just the learning that is important.
It's learning what to do with what you learn and learning why you
learn things that matter. That is a quote from Norton Juster.
Internalize what you learn so you can apply that knowledge.
I wish each and everyone a successful educational journey;

it is INCOMPLETE. All assignments are located in Google Classroom under Classwork-

Message from Governor Kemp announced that
he is issuing a Shelter-In-Place order for the
state and canceling in-school instruction
for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
This means we will not return for regular school
or district operations for the remainder of our academic calendar.
Here's a message from Dr. Walker - 8th grade Assistant Principal
Hello and Happy Remote Learning Awesome 8th Graders,
What a strange time period this is for our school and for society. With that being said, I know that you and your family are having to adjust to a new normal and I along with the 8th grade teachers will be understanding. I hope that you and your family are safe and have what you need during this time of social distancing. Please reach out if you are experiencing any difficulty getting online or getting other needs met. I can’t be sure that I can help with everything, but I will surely try. Mrs. Pitts (8th grade counselor) is also available to support you and your family. We care about you and your family and want to make sure that you all are safe. Please be responsible with your health. Make sure that you wash your hands, sanitize areas around you, and practice social distancing. Also be responsible with your school work. Please let myself, your teachers, and or your counselor know how we can continue to support you.
We are still discussing end of the year activities and putting plans in place for if we return to school, and or if for some reason we aren’t able to. We will share out finalized information as we get closer to returning. As of now, we are planning on having our 8th Grade Awards Program and the dance. However, these events are contingent upon many other things and our decision is subject to change. We will keep you all updated.
Stay safe and healthy until we come together again.
Dr. Walker 8th Grade Assistant Principal

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Eagle’s Landing Middle school. My goals are to teach the curriculum, prepare students for the Georgia Milestone State Assessment, inspire students to enjoy math as much as I do, and prepare students for their next journey in their educational path." Practice is the best of all instructors." Publilus SyrusWhat does this mean? You still have to practice what you learned.Students, I need you to practice with fractions. Especially how to simplify; also
work on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing them. I would also work
with integers. Mastering INTEGERS is crucial for algebra. Please practice your
integers! email me if you have any questions: firstname.lastname@example.orgFollow the link for great videos - it will help you with math skills!!It's free - you will need an email account to help track your progress. http://www.khanacademy.org/Another great website for help is mathisfun.com Just put in the conceptyou need help with, for example combining like terms or solving equationsthat have one solution, no solution or infinitely many solutions.
