    Welcome to Red Oak Elementary and to 2nd Grade!

    My name is Carroll Allen.  This is my 30th year of teaching.  This is my twelfth year of teaching at Red Oak Elementary.  I am originally from Kansas.  I moved to Georgia in 1989.  I received my Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and my Master of Science in Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia.  Ask anyone who knows me – I love teaching; it’s more than a job.

    I am married to Lyle Allen.  Lyle is a native of Georgia.  He received his Bachelor of Arts from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia and his Master of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta.  Lyle works at a business located in Monticello, Georgia.   In our spare time we enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and trying new recipes, and traveling the United States.
