This is my fifteenth year at Mt. Carmel Elementary. Currently, I am serving as Mt. Carmel's Instruction & Personalized Learning Lead (IPLL) to strategically support our school's instruction and student learning goals. Previously, I was an Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher for grades 2-3, where I served students through small group instruction and provided targeted reading and math interventions. Additionally, I have seven years of experience at Mt. Carmel as a teacher of exceptional students, grades K-3. I was also pleased to represent Mt. Carmel as Teacher of the Year for the 2012-2013 school year.
Prior to joining the Henry County School System, I have experience as a private school educator, and home educator, while living abroad in France for two years. Prior to teaching, I have many years of case management experience working with students and adults with disabilities in both the public and private sector as a Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) and Certified Case Manager (CCM). I also enjoy teaching women at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and cooking.
My husband, Bruce, is the Global Outreach Pastor for Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. We have a daughter, Allison, a son, Josh, and a cat named Max. We have been blessed to be a part of the Mt. Carmel family since 2002 and know that you will be as well! Below are some pictures of my greatest treasures. They are the biggest supporters of all that I do!
