My name is Antwuan Satterwhite. I’m a proud native of North Augusta, South Carolina. I graduated from the College of Charleston where I earned a (B.S. in Psychology), and graduated from the University of South Carolina where I earned my Masters in Social Work (MSW). I enjoy spending time with my dog, family, friends, working out, and outdoor activities.
My educational background began in 2017, where I started as a special education teaching assistant. I fell in love with teaching and being an advocate for students with disabilities, and for marginalized students and groups. I decided to transition to teach for 3 years as an elementary self-contained special education teacher for students along the autism spectrum. During this time, I also pursued my Masters in Social Work.
My role as the School Social Worker is to act as a link between the home, school, and community. I'll be providing individual, family, and group counseling, completing assessments and developing prevention and intervention strategies. I'm excited about my first year here at EXCEL Academy in serving the students, families, and community.
Feel free to check out my website for more information on School Social Workers, resources available to you, and if you need to make a Social Work Referral. Thank you so much!
