I was born and raised in at Atlanta, Ga and as a little girl I always dreamed of becoming a Educator. I recieved a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Development from Predue Unversity. My passion has always been the education of children. I have a 13 year son that is clinically diagnosed with severe dyslexia. He inspired my passion even deeper to work with kids of all ages to ensure that they have the best education possible despite any learning differences and/or disabiities. I owned and directed a early childcare center for 4 years. My center was decicated to the education and wellbeing of children and thier parents. After selling the center, I became a certified Paraprofessional with a public school system working in special needs classrooms. Now I'm a Teacher with Henry County Public School System.
Children are special "gifts" that should recieve the proper care and educational foundation they deserve to prepare them for life. I believe that for a child to be successful, productive adult, each child must be taught core morals and values, as well as recieve a fun, enriching education. It is our responsibility as adults to protect and serve our children as they grow, learn, and play. Let's work together to make this a GREAT SCHOOL YEAR.
"Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and the world better than you found it" (Marian Wright Edelman, founder & president of THE CHILDREN'S DEFENSE FUND)
