X 2nd Grade - Dyken, Amanda

Hi! My name is Amanda Dyken. I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year! I love learning, and it is my passion to instill a love of learning in my students. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband and three children.

Experience

I graduated from Simpson College in my home state, Iowa, in 2011. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education with endorsements in Reading, Early Childhood, and Gifted Education. This is my tenth year teaching. I taught Kindergarten and first grade for four years in Iowa. I then taught second and first grade in Rockdale County Public schools for five years. I am excited to be a New Hope Knight this year!
