Greetings TRE Family,
I am blessed and honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, teachers, parents, and community as the new assistant principal at Timber Ridge. As a Henry County native, I have come to know these schools and community as a student and as an educator. I am proud of the work we continue to do to make sure every student has a great educational experience.
After graduating from Eagles Landing High School, I received my education degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) in 2006. My wife’s grad school took us to Indianapolis where I spent five years serving students through music education and coaching. We moved back to Georgia in 2011, and this year will be my tenth year as an educator in the Henry County School System. For nine years, I served the Ola community as the director of bands at Ola Middle School, during which time, the band program became one of the largest and most successful middle school band programs in the state. I worked hard to create a learning experience that students were proud to be in and that parents and the community deeply valued. All students are different, and making sure they all find an area to succeed in and show off their personal strengths is a passion of mine.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Brittany, since 2006. We currently live in Jackson, GA with our two boys, Oliver James, 8 years old, and Weston Michael, 5 years old. In my free time I enjoy being involved in our church, playing with my boys, coaching my son’s sports teams, trips with the family, riding my motorcycle, kayaking, and sports.
I look forward to working alongside you as I become a part of the wonderful educational experience at TRE. Together we can inspire and motivate these young students to become life-long learners and caring and compassionate members of society. Please never hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, praises, or feedback. We are Titans in this together!
