I am so glad to be with you at the Academy for Advanced Studies this school year! This is my second year teaching at the Academy and my third year in education. I am, also, a current instructor at Kennesaw State University. At KSU, I teach courses of English Composition I and II. Before beginning my teaching career, I attended the University of West Georgia! GO WOLVES! I earned a BA and MA in English at UWG, and I am currently pursuing my PhD through Hampton University.
I am, also, an alumna of Woodland High School! It feels good to be back home in Henry County!
My educational philosophy includes maintaining an "open door policy" for students and parents. My goal every semester is to have an inclusive classroom, which invites students to communicate feedback on assignments, discussions and the overall class experience.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to a fantastic school year!
