CHORUS

The Chorus program at Locust Grove High (LGH) is an organization of any students wishing to participate in chorus in the fall and spring semester – this is a year-round program at LGH. Chorus students will study music theory, music history, rhythm and counting, sight-reading, musical aspects and vocabulary, concert etiquette, and performance tendencies. Proper health and related dietary needs may be include. The chorus will perform at seasonal concerts and evaluations. The requirements of Chorus are knowledge of basic music fundamentals, three (3) years of previous chorus classes, and a desire to grow in music performance. These requirements may be altered at the discretion of the director. 

HENRY COUNTY ONLINE ACADEMY

I will serve as the facilitator for LHG students taking academic classes through the Henry County Online Academy (HCOA). My primary responsibility is to act as a contact with your HCOA instructor in regards to grades and to ensure you are on task with your assignments. I will happy to provide feedback in so far as my subject knowledge level allows.

PERCUSSION STUDIO/ENSEMBLE

The LGH Percussion Studio/Ensemble is an extention of the band program. A comprehensive curriculum focused on mallets, snare drum, timpani, drum set, and auxiliary percussion as well as supplemental materials will make up a bulk of the studio work. In addition, numerous pieces from percussion ensemble literature will be learned and performed throughout the school year.
