Greetings Parents and Earth Science Rockstars! My name is Ms. Kearse and I am your sixth grade EARTH SCIENCE teacher. I am so excited to be working with you and your child this school year. I know we are going to have an amazing year!

I graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching: Middle Gradles.  

I came in with a vision to reach students where they were and to help get them to the next level.  During the time I stepped through the doors of Stockbridge Middle School, I have been working and determined to make a positive impact in the lives of the children. My genuine care for the students well being is evident in my daily interactions with them. Your child is more than just another student to me. I value and respect their individuality. They are our future leaders and it is our responsibility to nuture and mold them to be the best they are destined to be. This is why I consider teaching to be a purpose and not just a job. Shortly after entering Stockbridge Middle School in February 2019,  I was nominated for Teacher of the Month by the students in each grade level.  The children immediately identified that I have a heart for them, respect them, and treat them fair. I love helping students reach the next level through personal growth and character building, as well as academically.
