    Welcome to Ms. Cunningham's class!

    Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to first grade at Rock Spring Elementary!  As your child’s teacher, I want to welcome you and your student to my classroom.  I am very excited about the upcoming school year and cannot wait to get to know your child!  We will all be working together as a team to make sure your child receives the best education possible.  Your child is very important to me, and I want to do everything I can to help your child be successful.  If you have a question or concern, please do not hesitate to contact  me at chanelle.cunningham@henry.k12.ga.us

    Meet the Teacher

This year is my third year teaching first grade. In addition to my teaching career in the U.S. I've also taught English in Japan for a year (which is why I chose the cherry blossom theme for my classroom!) and studied abroad in Ecuador to improve my Spanish language skills. A fun fact about me is that when I was in undergrad, I worked in a hospital in the interpretive services department as a Spanish to English translator.  My hometown is Fort Knox, Kentucky and I attended Spelman College in Atlanta to receive my Bachelors in Elementary Education. When I am not teaching your precious little one, I enjoy shopping, scrapbooking and spending time with my family.

    My favorite things:

    Fast Food: Chick-fil-a

    Drink: Sprite

    Treat: Dove Chocolate

    Store: Target

    Colors: Blue & Grey
