• Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to FIRST grade!  My name is Diane Frazier. It is both an honor and privilege to be your child’s teacher this year. Each school year brings an exciting opportunity to teach (and learn from) a new group of children. I am looking forward to an adventurous and productive school year. My goal, as a teacher, is to ensure that your child receives a quality, enriched education while having fun as they learn. I want them to LOVE school and to love learning!

Excited emoji Although the transition from kindergarten to first grade is exciting, it is also a big change. To help students through this change, the first few weeks of school will involve helping them to adjust to their new more independent roles as first graders.

In order to maximize your child’s learning experience in class, your help is needed. As a parent or guardian, you are the most important person in your child’s life. Therefore, we will work together, as a team, to motivate and guide your child as they transition and gain more independence, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills. By working together, I know that we can ensure a positive first grade experience for your child. By the end of this school year, your child will be fully equipped and prepared to move on to the next level. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can be reached at 770-389-8819 or diane.thomasfrazier@henry.k12.ga.us
