Mrs. Jennifer Belford
Welcome to First Grade! What an amazing journey we are about to embark on together! Although we begin this year remotely, I am excited to be your child’s teacher as we have fun learning all about the integration of STEM in reading, math, writing, and so much more! I have confidence in your child and will work my hardest to ensure your child’s success during the 2020-2021 school year.
Please feel free to contact me anytime via email during this remote learning period.
A little About Me
I thought you might like to know a little about me, as I will be guiding your child’s educational journey this school year. This year Pleasant Groves' theme is “One Pack; Unified In Our Diversity”. This theme is so befitting of the time; as we are a diverse population standing unified in our mission to provide the best education for all students at Pleasant Grove Elementary.
I am a 1st grade teacher and I have taught 3 years at Pleasant Grove Elementary. I graduated from Jackson State University with a Bachelor Degree in Childcare and Family Education and was awarded National Child Development Association Credentials. Being that I am fascinated with the field of Early Childhood Education I continued my educational journey in which I obtained my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I have a beautiful family which whom I adore; my husband Derrick who is also an educator, my life’s greatest gift Taylor-Marie, age 3, and a blue fish named “Goldie”. My daughter loves her fish. I ABSOLUTELY love reading, shopping, arts and crafts, and traveling.
