Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Ashley Shadix. I grew up in and around Conyers and Downtown Atlanta for the first of my life. I have a big family that still gets together every weekend at my grandmother's house to eat Sunday dinner. Right before my freshman year of Highschool my parent moved my brother and I to Jackson, Ga. I played competitive soccer until I was 18 for HCSA. I was captain all four years of highschool for the varsity team. I even had the chance to play at the collegiate level against teams like UGA, GT, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia Southern. I attended and still currently attend Georgia College and State University. I recieved my BA in Studio Art with a minor in Digital Media back in 2014. I will be graduating with my MAT in Secondary Education in May 2019. My time in colledge has allowed me to work alongside some pretty amazing people and artists. I was lucky enough to be taught by Michael Murphy, a very influential activist artist. My goal is to one day teach art at the collegiate level. But for now, I have two BEAUTIFUL daughters and I spend all of my free time enjoying life with them and their dad. We love to take trips! We spend most birthdays on vacation in lieu of parties. There is no better experience than experiencing life with your children!
