• Dear Parents, I am excited to say that we have made it to yet another school year! I am so happy to have your child in my class this year and I am so ready to see the growth that each child will have through this learning experience.  This year will be a time for your child to learn independence, engage in deep discussions, participate in instruction that positively challenges them, and have FUN throughout the process.  Students will be encouraged to have an open mind to learning and trying new things.

I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  My name is Emerald Hoe, and I was born and raised in Ellenwood, GA.  I graduated from a Henry County School, so working in the county where I earned a degree makes me feel at home.  I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University where I earned a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. While attending Kennesaw State University, I also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

I am the middle child of 9 (3 brothers and 6 sisters), and being a part of a big family is nothing but amazing.  I have a wonderful niece that is three and an amazing nephew that is one.  I have a very good relationship with my family, and they encourage me to use my creativity within my classroom.  You may often see lots of anchor charts, or small pictures that I have created around my classroom.  Art is a way that I feel we can communicate without many words.

As we go through the school year, I encourage your support, participation, and patience.  1st Grade will be a great one for us all!

"You can teach a lesson a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives." -Clay P. Bedford

    Thank You,
