    Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to an exciting year at Cotton Indian Elementary School! I hope that you are as excited as I am to be a part of such a wonderful school and grade level. We have a lot in store for you.

I am Jazmine Dinkins and I have had the pleasure of educating students since 2011. I am a graduate of Fort Valley State University, where I received my undergraduate degree in Early Child/Special Education  and the University of North Dakota, where I received my master’s degree. I have taught students in fourth and fifth grade throughout my career. I reside in Henry County with my husband and two awesome children, Jordin and Cullen.

I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience. However, I cannot do this alone: I need your help. We are partners in the learning process. Please encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they are present at school, prepared with their materials, and putting forth their best effort. I plan to work closely with each of you to ensure your child’s success.

As a “Leader in Me “ school, your child will develop tools that allow them to be agents of their character, behavior, and learning. I seek to help students become comfortable and confident lifelong leaders. Join me as I work to expand your child’s horizon and encourage them to work outside of the box. This fifth grade school year will be a MAGICAL experience!
