Our Parent Resource Center is in room 205. The PRC has a wealth of materials and ideas for working with your child at home. There are materials for math, language, reading, science, social studies, and games for practicing basic skills. In response to requests and to promote culture inclusiveness, we have added books for ESOL students and cultural diversity. All of these materials can be checked out for your use at home.
The Parent Resource Center is open daily from 8:00AM–2:00PM. Our Parent Involvement Professional may be reached at 770-288-8561 during the PRC office hours and will assist you with resources to use at home with your child(ren).
In addition to the materials available in the Parent Resource Center, WCE will conduct virtual and in person parent workshops throughout the school year. These workshops will focus on math, reading, science, social studies, technology, understanding your child’s report card, test scores and other subjects based on parental requests from Title I parent input meetings and surveys. Due to the need for social emotional well-being information, WCE will also be pushing out activities that promote family engagement and social emotional well-being.
The Parent Resource Center and the Title I sponsored parent workshops provide you with a number of suggestions and materials for working with your child at home. Please take advantage of these materials and workshop opportunities. We look forward to working with you this year to help child be successful academically and socially.
