New! Remote Learning Information and Assignments:

Henry County Schools will be closed March 16 until March 31 with continued monitoring of the local, state, and national conditions. We have also cancelled all school related activities and extracurricular activities. This extended closure will allow for a thorough cleaning of all facilities and district property, for district officials to implement continuity plans, and for state officials to continue to assess the current situation regarding Coronavirus in Georgia. We understand the growing concern for the health and wellness of our students, our employees, our families, and our community.

Henry County Schools Food & Nutrition Services program will provide an opportunity for families to drive through and pick up meals for the children in their family at a number of school sites. The following schools will provide a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the following day.  Pick up times are between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Families should plan to stay in your car and meals will be passed through based on the number of children in the car. Children must be present in order for meals to be provided.

Bio:  My name is Antonio L. Wesley, Sr. and this is my 14th year in education.  I graduated from Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia during my high school years and earned a full scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University to play football.  I later transferred to Valdosta State University in 2000.  I graduated from VSU in 2004 and started working for Lowndes County Schools in 2006.  This is my third year at Dutchtown High School and I am glad to be apart of the "Dutchtown Family" and learning the Dutchtown way.  I am also the running backs coach/offensive coordinator for the varsity football team and Sophmore Class sponsor in addition to teaching mathematics (Algebra I) for DHS. I met my wife while attending college and we were married in 2006.  We have two beautiful kids that attend Dutchtown Middle School.

    Philosophy of Education:

My philosophy of education is a student–centered one.  I believe it is my professional duty to educate, motivate, and deliver the best pedagogical practices within my power to enable students to simply learn.   Education is one of the most important factors in the evolution of both the individual and society.  I feel that it is my duty and honor to give all students an equal opportunity to add value to their lives.  I will accomplish my goals by adding rigor and relevance to my lessons and by teaching students in a safe, organized environment in order for them to learn and excel. I am passionate about teaching and I am loyal to my students.  I want to instill in them good life long qualities, integrity, and character that may call for me to go over and beyond the call of duty.
