    Hello,

My name is Katrina Paggett. I am thrilled to be entering my 3rd year as a member of the Stockbridge Elementary School family!   I have been an elementary school educator for 19+ years.  I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  I completed my student teaching in Mannheim, Germany where I fell in LOVE with traveling and exploring new cultures.  I obtained my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University and my Specialist in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.

This year my goal is to teach ALL Stockbridge learners to value themselves as individual learners.  Upon leaving Stockbridge Elementary School I want learners to not only know the rudiments of reading, writing, and math but, I want each of them to have a personalized understanding of the importance of learning.  I want EACH of them to believe they can be anything they want to be…and I want them to always remember it ALL started at Stockbridge Elementary School!

I live my life by the golden rule “treat others the way you would like to be treated”.  My “teaching” golden rule is “I will teach YOUR child in the manner I expect someone to teach MY child”.  My husband of 17 years and I have 3 wonderful children.  All three of our children are school-aged and my goal is to be the educator I would want my children to have!

As the school's PBIS coach I would like all stakeholders to know, understand, and support Stockbridge Elementary School's behavioral expectations. The expectations are listed below

    P-  Prepare for Success
    A-  Act Respectfully
    W- Work Together
    S-  Stay Safe

As the school's Instructional Personalized Learning Lead, I would like all stakeholders to be a part of the Stockbridge teaching and learning community.  At Stockbridge, we believe learners should be empowered to set goals and take the initiative to meet their goals.

SES educators strive to build a solid foundation for learners by fostering learner ownership, collaboration, and confidence to allow every learner an opportunity to succeed at their maximum potential academically as well as socially.

Finally, I am looking forward to a WONDERFUL year of teaching and learning!  This year will be a year of HARD WORK and GREAT REWARDS!  Let’s get ready to put our hands to the plow and prepare OUR learners for the world that lies ahead!

If you have any questions/ concerns you may email me at Katrina.Smithpaggett@henry.k12.ga.us or call the school 770-474-8743.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mrs. Katrina Paggett
