    My name is Tawanda Brown-Miller and I am very excited to work with your children this 2019-2020 school year. I have been working with children in the capacity of mentor, academic coach, teacher, and counselor for over 10 years. I have a Bachelors in Psychology, a Masters degree in School Counseling, and am certified to serve K-12 students.  This will be my 5th year as the school counselor at SES.  It is my goal to provide your child and my students with academic, career, and social/ emotional support throughout their tenure at Stockbridge Elementary. I love to have fun with my students as I promote positive self-concept and build resiliency. Utilizing personal strengths and providing students with conflict resolution tools helps them overcome challenges. 
     
    When I am not in the school setting, I am busy on the soccer field with my son who is in middle school, at dance lessons with my daughter who is in elementary school, or doing community service. Though I live in Georgia and wish the Falcons much success, I am a die-hard NY Giants fan since that is where I was born and raised.
