     Alone we are great,

but TOGETHER we are even better!

Welcome to another year at Fairview Elementary! I am excited to welcome all of our new and returning scholars and their families to a new year full of new beginnings and experiences. My name is Ms. Hendricks and strengthening our students’ academic and social aptitude so that we may operate in unity to ensure our success even beyond the classroom is my goal for the 2018-19 school year. I am in my fifth year of teaching and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Spelman College in addition to a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mercer University. Aside from working with children, I am also passionate about reading and I love to travel.

Though we may each possess different abilities and skill sets that make us uniquely powerful alone, we have the potential to achieve even greater success if we put these talents together. It is my calling to help students find and realize their inner strength if they have not already, and to help them refine those talents in order to continue on the path of being college-bound and destined for greatness! The world around us is ever-changing and navigating it comes with challenges. Students must not only be prepared to meet that challenge academically, but socially and emotionally as well. I have high expectations for my students and expect nothing less than their best effort. I also expect everyone within our learning community to exhibit respect at all times and to persevere in the face of obstacles like the true future world-changers that they are.
