Special Message regarding Remote Learning
This has definitely been a challenging time for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me via ClassDoJo or email. I can also set up a Google Meet if that would help. I have listed fun activities and websites that students can visit in a special Music Sites folder here on my website. My weekly lesson plans are located in the Remote Learning folder. Third through Fifth grades should have joined the Google Classroom I set up some time back, but the codes are listed in the lesson plans if they still need to join. Assignments will be posted there for students to complete when applicable. Below is a link to my daily Google Meet Helps session. Students are welcome to stop by for a chat or for help with music assignments. Happy music making!

My name is Christy Bailey. I am delighted to be returning as the music teacher at New Hope Elementary this year.
My husband and I spent 24 years moving around the country and even to Germany with the United States Air Force before returning to Georgia. I have 4 fantastic sons, 3 (+1 coming soon) beautiful grandchildren, and 3 outstanding daughter-in-laws.
This year I will again be offering a 5th grade band program and a 4th and 5th grade honor chorus. In addition to performances from these two groups, students in each grade level will be presenting a musical program at some point during the school year. Many of these performances will be cross-curricular and reinforce non-musical concepts, as well as musical concepts, being learned in the classroom. It is my firm belief that music is interrelated with every other school subject which is why I am so excited about NHE starting the journey towards Arts Integration this year.
Music has always occupied a prominent role in my life. I look forward to sharing my love of learning and music with every student. It is going to be a great year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
