My name is Christy Bailey. I am delighted to be returning as the music teacher at New Hope Elementary this year.

My husband and I spent 24 years moving around the country and even to Germany with the United States Air Force before returning to Georgia. I have 4 fantastic sons, 4 beautiful grandchildren, and 3 outstanding daughter-in-laws.

 

This year I will again be offering a 4th & 5th grade band program and a 4th and 5th grade honor chorus. In addition to performances from these two groups, students in each grade level will be presenting a musical program at some point during the school year - even if it has to be virtual. Many of these performances will be cross-curricular and reinforce non-musical concepts, as well as musical concepts, being learned in the classroom. It is my firm belief that music is interrelated with every other school subject which is why I am so excited about NHE continuing the journey in Arts Integration at NHE this year. 

 

Music has always occupied a prominent role in my life. I look forward to sharing my love of learning and music with every student. It is going to be a great year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
