Ms. Wright, Professional School Counselor
I am happy to be starting my 15th year of school counseling! I worked as a school counselor in DeKalb County for 8 years before transitioning to Henry County. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology (2004) and Master's in School Counseling (2007) at the University of West Georgia.
My favorite thing about being a school counselor is being able to work with students in each grade level. Caring Counselors have two major responsibilities; to make sure all students feel happy and safe at school and to talk about character traits that will help them be a better person and student. It is my goal to visit classrooms each month to conduct guidance lesson based on a particular character trait. During this time of virtual learning, I will make an extra effort to reach all students to provide the same services they would receive in face-to-face instruction. I am looking forward to helping your child have a memorable and fun learning experience this year!
When I am not being a Caring Counselor I enjoy reading, exercising, working on jigsaw puzzles and spending time with my family. I also enjoy watching the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta United.
